My workshop is a two car garage with a little room off the back. I have been collecting tools and machines for the last few years hoping to someday build a beautiful place to work. I think I like collecting tools, building jigs, and orgainzing the shop more than I like building things for the inside the house.

So far I’ve collected:
Jet JTAS 10XL50 table saw
Jet JTWS-18S 18 inch band saw
Craftsman Floor Drill Press
Craftsman Oscillating Sander
an old Jet Dust Collector
an old small rebuilt 6” jointer
a Rigid 13” Planer
Performas 16-32 Sander
Grizzly Mini-Lathe
Jet Metal Lathe

Everything purchased in the shop was acquired through great deals such as Craig’s List, final seconds of wood shows, and just getting lucky. I really believe that friends don’t let friends pay retail.

I just installed a 100 amp panel, and hopefully the electric circuits will be run this month. I am in the process of putting on a fake dormer to let in some natural light. Then insulation, a ceiling, and wall covering. I am hoping to use a lot of re-claimed wood for the wall covering; pallets, flooring, etc. Hopefully, I will remember to take a few pics along the way!

John, I agree with Jim about the pictures. Virtual shop tours are always appreciated.
