I always swore I would never have an office job. Now I have one. Being a guy and needing the feeling of accomplishment, the shop has become my retreat. I can go home and say "look, I did that". It may not be great, but its something.

I found the love for woodworking in highschool shop and have slowly been trying to put together an effecient shop of my own. Its all a work in progress. I love clean, simple builds (like Arts & Crafts style) Or crazy, knotty ugly wood that most wouldn't dare use. I find clean wood (while stable) boring. Not that there is anything wrong with those that use clean wood. Just my preferance.

Not many of us in the upper great plains. Glad we have another. Welcome to LJ’s.
