I am a craftsman working from a small workshop in Knysna, South Africa, where I produce, by hand, exclusive and elegant jewellery packaging and presentation boxes from the finest quality local and exotic woods. Each item is individually crafted to reflect the beauty of the wood, as well as meeting the requirements set by the client. I love working with the various woods, and the passion I have is hopefully self-evident in the pieces I make.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless

Johan you do some AMAZING work! I am very jealous of the beautiful wood species available to you-I especially like your Blackwood perfume box but the ring box is a real incentive for me. Thanks for the post!

Johan – I just stumbled across your projects today. Your boxes are beautiful and you obviously have a real ‘eye’ for the beauty of the woods and how they can best be combined into beautiful designs. It must be nice to have such a tremendous number of beautiful species readily available.
