Yeah so this about the drill press for guitar making. I have a dewalt router that I thought could do those boring for tunner holes and bridge post holes, but then again why not have an over head machine like a drill press.

So does anybody Have any suggestions on maybe a 10ich to 12inch drill press thats accurate “enough

You have to use a drill press for the tuning holes. You’ll make a mess of it otherwise. Ask me how I know this….;-)

Even a small 10” table top model will do the trick nicely. Use pilot holes first.

You could go with The Delta 12” drill press. It’s small but accurate.
Rockler wants $199.99 for it.

For drilling the holes through the body for where the strings go through, I used my Dremel plunge router attachment with a drill bit in the Dremel and made the pilot holes with that.
