Thanks for the warm welcome. I see many of you are from the US, one thing I have noticed is that a lot of the products talked about on US forums aren’t necessarily available here in Canada or are very hard to locate. One example is Petitt spar varnish which is availabe here but only in high gloss, its not availabe in low sheen. This is due to the cost of translating the label into French which is a legal requirement if you want to sell stuff here in Canada but has the effect of limiting the diversity of product available in the country so they only import the most popular varieties.
I always tend to see myself as a beginner, this I guess is because I dont tend to enjoy making the same thing more than once so I’m always having to learn something new. I like to post pics and am looking forward to participating on the LJ’s forum.
