Todd, I enjoyed your site, well done. and although I agree with most everything written I do disagree with the cleaning your shop daily, I have become comfortable in the chaos of my work area, the time spent searching for my tools has become a familiar routine, tripping over countless unfinished projects (unfortunately many as yet unfinished commissions) as I walk through the few open paths or the cloud of dust that billows as I sweep my bench clean prior finishing a piece….all these I would truly miss if I were to chose a different philosophy. And my relationship with my wife, our conversations so often revolve around my shop, if I were to change at this late point in my life, these all too familiar discussions would be missed I’m afraid. I can see my bench from where I am sitting here through the shelves, although I can’t make out what is on it from this distance, I do recognize a jorgensen clamp right away. We should be cognizant of the example we set Todd and I hope you’ll accept this in the spirit it is given….my wife is looking for a screwdriver so I have to cut this short, but I did enjoy your site.

Ah, the mess in the shop does, over time, take on a personality of it’s own. Becoming as an old friend in the shop.

This is my first computer so I bought an Apple. I do the website myself with the iWeb program. I had a steep learning curve to climb for a while there. EVERYTHING was new to me.

Web site looks good!!!Man your shop is CLEAN !!!! I’m more in Harolds league with the shop.You should see my shop right now after doing 16 chairs then going right into 12 more right now,there is scraps and sawdust everywhere!!!The 2 inches of dust just adds more cushion to the feet !!!Keep up the good work.

I do not consider myself tech savvy. I often have a vision of what I want to achieve and then I have to figure out how to make it work. This has been the case for my website. I am truly learning as I go.

I have to thank the LJ community because in the past they have given me tremendous help to figure out all things technical.

That bathroom looks sharp, Todd.

Giving lots of photos before, during and after a project like that is a great idea for your website, I think. It will really give your potential clients an idea of how you are capable of transforming a room.

I’m assuming those shop photos are the the updated photos after the remodel? Looks like a fun playground!
