Looks great! One question though
Why did you not use a double top plate to tie the walls togather?
Here in Cali. that is a standard they make us abide by.
Its coming along fine you should be moved in before you know it.

Hi Jim, over here it is acceptable to use a single top plate and as the building is under a certain size, it does not have to abide by any codes.

I like your joinery on the scarf joint. Nice & straight. I can’t quite tell from the photo, but it looks as though you slabbed some ply on each side of the scarf joint for some extra strength. Am I seeing right?

Somehow I missed all the installments thus far. I just flipped through them. You have made great progress. I too I like your joinery on the scarf joint.

How will you be running power to your shop?

Zuki, I am going to get an electrition to do all of that for me, I think it is safer than me messing it up lol.

I think he is going to use armoured cable and then run it into a consumer unit to have seperate curcuits for things like my dc ect.

Your progress Is LQQKIN’ good! What are your plans for the gable end where the ridge beam sticks out past the wall? Will there be some kind of over-hang to keep rain away from the door?

I too am planning to have an electrician do the basic wiring because there is a county code to be met. But after that I plan on running the wiring as I place the power tools in position around the shop. It would be embarassing for an electrical mechanic to not do at least some of the electrical work himself.
