hey everyone!
this is the first entry in my blog so i figured that i would give an overview of what this blog is going to be about. i am by no means a professional woodworker who had been woodworking for 20 years. i am a beginner myself who had been woodworking for 1 year and i only have the basic hand power tools. i figured that i could offer what i know to younger or just beginning woodworkers and offer some alternatives for how to use basic hand power tools to do what the bigger tools do. i will be making this like a sort of a podcast if i can figure out how to put videos on here because i know that most people would enjoy a video more than reading a huge book. well i hope that any one who reads this will check out my next blog, which will be posted soon, where i will start by outlining some basic tools that i think small shop should have.

Welcome Denis,
Bring it on. Or should I say Blog it on. Sorry I could not resist.
It sounds to me like a good idea to bring in the youth of the trade. By the way how old are you?
I am new to this site as well but it seems their are a lot of people here that are willing to help and or advise. I have received help a few times already and I’m only here about a month.
Don’t be afraid of telling your ideas. That’s how we share and learn.

Welcome to LumberJocks. I will be interested in your perspective. Bob is correct—there is a ton of experience here. Any question you have will be answered rather quickly. Rock on!

A fresh perspective is always an opportunity to learn. Maybe some of us old dogs can learn something from you. I’ll be looking forward to your blog.

Way to go Little dude! You can learn a LOT from the good folks on this site! Don’t forget to capitalize your singular “I’s”, always capitalize at the beginning of a sentence. I see too many young people doing it these days and it will lead to bad habits. :^)
Also, check the dates on your glue – It does go bad. And don’t forget Pipe clamps. They are inexpensive and really can be a life saver, because you are correct, one can never have to many clamps.
Good Job on the Podcast/show, we all look forward to the next episode of “The teenage Woodworker”!
