Safety week in the podcast community

Some of the more popular wood working podcasters have agreed that this week would be safety week. They are all dedicating at least one show to the topic of safety this week. Unfortunately I have not yet heard anyone mention the excellent safety series that is currently being run in popular woodworking magazine. Marc Adams is methodically going through one tool an issue and teaching you how to safely use this tool. These articles aren’t about jigs or clean cuts because those topics are covered with every other article ever written. These are about safety which I know is not exciting but for me, I am very excited to have this resource. I am a newbie and have no other source of information other than the internet and magazines. I have been concerned about safety because I have had no one to tell me ” no don’t do it like that!”. This popular woodworking series does just that. It says this is the safe way to do this and here is why. The series started December 07 so if you are not a subscriber you can get them at your library as they are still very current. The chicken is fond of its egg but the pig is COMMITTED to the bacon. I am committed to all ten of my fingers.

I like the fact that I am scared to death of my tools and I believe that they all hate me and want to kill and eat me. It keeps me from getting in a rush and doing stupid things.
