When my oversized car would no longer fit easily into my undersized garage I decided “Hey! I need a woodshop!”. I had never done any woodwork before but had wanted to for a long time. A neighbor was moving and gave me a smokin’ deal on a Supershop (a shopsmith clone heavy enough to do metal milling). Because space was at a premium it seemed a good solution at the time and one I am still not unhappy with. If nothing else it forces me to slow down and take my time.
A couple of small adustable pedestal shelves and a top designed to fit on top of them became the workbench, and away we go. A few months later I posted “My first project” which was actually my fourth but the first that was of any quality and not for the shop.
Learning something new everyday by reading and working in the shop and getting new inspiration everyday thanks to all my fellow Lumberjocks out there. Thanks Guys (and gals)!

Your shop sounds interesting. I find visual tours of other shops to be an interesting aspect of this community. I am looking forward to seeing pictures of your shop.
