lacquer as a sealer coat? - 3 replies Hello, I’ve been using lacquer for a sealer coat under water based poly and its looks great. my question is will this hold up over time or will something go terribly wrong.Would a coat of shellac be better?I’ve been doing this for 8 months.I’m looking for a durable semi gloss finish for a cherry/maple piece. how to finish paduk? - 2 replies hi , im trying to figure the best way to finish paduk with sap on the edges, the finish seems to bleed over to the sap wood and have to re sand over and over . thanks |
