Hello Shiney
As I said in the earlier post the use of the natural state wood is a nice detail and adds to the beauty of the project. I have never considered this but may have to work it into a project sometime.
I always thought that there was a question of stability with respect to leaving the bark on the wood. But after seeing your posts I am beginning to question this paradigm. Have you experienced any problems with leaving wood in its natural state like this?

I reviewed the Sperrin View weblink you had provided and was wondering if you had made that “weather station” as well. Nice project and even better as a nice gift. Most weather stations are small and tiny but I really like this large variety. It not only commands attention but you could defend yourself with it as well! LOL!

Thanks for all the comments, your question Scott with this type of project its ment to be fixed to the wall and hopefully not handled to much, I’ve removed any loose bark and then with the plastic coating (_rustins should hold it.
Dadoo, i was contemplating cutting the wood smaller maybe three pieces, but it just looked to dam nice;but your right i wouldn’t want hit with it

Greetings from snowy Ontario Canada.
Smart idea, and like others comments you can rest assured that this piece will be around for generations.
