Well, here is my very cluttered garage, now occupied with a currently immobile cabinet saw and shaper. The cabinet under the miter saw was an old wet bar on wheels (circa probably 1970) that we could not sell in garage sales, nor give away. I had thrown an old piece of plywood on top of it to use it as a saw stand when I built some garage shelving and it finally clicked with me that it would probably make a good base with a little work. So I added a shelf or two, removed the cushioned top, and “Voila” a miter saw stand was born, complete with some storage underneath, and wheels already attached. My next project, and first with my “new” saw will definitely be mobile bases for the saw and shaper.

Looks like you are due for a little organizing.

Bummer that you have to “share” your shop space with the yard and car tools. It does make organizing things a challenge. You have some nice tools to play with though.
Thanks for the tour. I enjoyed visiting with you.

How about posting a review on that shaper after you put it through the paces. I’ve been looking at the Grizzly shaper since it had some good reviews. And get that shop squared away! :]

Yes. Organization and utilization of space is going to be key for me. I am still having to share space with all the lawn and garden equipment cause I spent about half of the money earmarked for an outside storage building on the saw and shaper. So that will probably be another year or so before I can get that clutter out of the way, but once its gone, I’ll still have to remain mobile to accomodate the wifes car. Or perhaps I should save an extra year or so and make that “Outside storage” into something a little more along the lines of a small shop, and give the garage to the mowers and car.
