For those of you who know Chris Schwarz and the quaint little magazine he’s been producing for a number of years now, you’ll be excited to know that Woodworking Magazine is now available via subscription. They have no advertisements and are packed full with expert technique, plans, and editorials. I couldn’t find the magazine locally, so I bought electronic editions online. Now I’ll be getting one of the better magazines known to the craft 4 times a year.
I should also give some extra credit to Chris. He’s one of the most responsive guys on email – especially for the amount of work he is responsible for. The articles in their magazine are fantastic, and the personal response that Chris is able to put into his communications out of band really seal the deal, so to speak. I know if I’m ever questioning a technique in the magazine or am confounded by something he said, he’ll answer for it appropriately.

I second Olaf’s recommendation. It is a great magazine and Chris Schwarz is outstanding to work with; I have had the pleasure to correspond with him several times in the past year.

This is a very well laid out magazine and you will learn at east one thing from each issue.It is hard to get in stores in my area,so I will probably need to subscribe.

I got a chance to meet him at a local woodworking show. He is every bit as personable in the flesh. I was signing a visa slip for something I bought and he saw I was using a pen I turned. He asked to see it and complimented me on it. It was a very nice experience.

I’ve known about this Mag. for sometime, just finished downloading their free issue offered on Popular Woodworking.com. Great Mag. Learned about drawboring tenons from this guy. mike
