In conjunction with Woodworking Safety Week 2008, here is my very first attempt at a video. I think I can give The Wood Whisperer a good run for his money. I’ve got everything he has except woodworking skills, customers, power tools, a nice shop, groupies and sponsors. Other than that, we’re the same. Covered in this video are the chisel, marking knife and saw. Enjoy!

thanks for the video Eric, i am covering a bit on hand tools in my video and I agree with you wholly as what you said it really what i said. keep you hands away from the path/potential path of the blade, and just use common sense. thanks for the post.

Great job Eric! Succinct and good advice. I was hoping someone would do one specifically related to hand tools. Thanks for the ruler advice. I’ve been lucky to not do “what we all know you are talking about”. But have had the near misses.
