Since I’m such a newbie and have already encountered lots of failures (I mean challenges), I don’t mind tooting my own horn just this once:
I was just selected as a Judge’s Choice award for my Tool Tip on “How to Sharpen a Chisel” on the website Instructables. So while I missed out on the $29 Leap Day Challenge (I’ll have to wait on that marking knife/keyhole saw/shoulder plane), I did win a new t-shirt.
I’m kind of shy about posting about my Instructable since I’m sure there are things that I could have said better. But since the average reader of that site is not a woodworker at all, I figure it’s a decent enough place to start.

Woo-hoo. Good for you Eric. It is always nice to receive peer recognition of your efforts. Nice t-shirt too by the way.
