I purchased a de walt 12.5 planer from toolking , when i opened the carton the dust hood was missing. I notified toolking and they said contact de walt. I tried using there de walts web page but no results. Any suggestion greatly appreciated Thanks Nick

I went to DeWalts web page and found where you can email them. http://www.dewalt.com/us/service/ It is located on the right lower side of the home page. It says contact us. Or have you tried that. I would also think the Tool King should be more than happy to assist you. I would ask them to speak to a manager to see if you can get results, after all they are the ones that sold it to you.

Nick,
I went to their site, too, and was not impressed with the set up. It would be nice if the site gave you an 800 number to call. I’d get in touch with Tool King and ask if they can give you a direct phone number to DeWalt, explaining why you want it. -SST

If you didn’t get what you paid for return it or keep going up the chain of managers VPs etc until you are satisfied. Be respectful and direct and most retail outlets will make things right…otherwise you can always vote with your feet and wallet and shop elsewhere.

I agree with Mark..be respectful the whole way…but the bottom line—-you are ToolKing’s customer not just dewalt…if toolking wants you back…they need to take care of them…

if nothing else works—-tell them you are a “blogger” with your own forum on a powerful woodworking webcommunity with 1,000’s of woodoworkers waiting to hear how this ends up!!!
