Today I’m working on some frames to hold my CCNA and MCSA certificates at work. So I need two that hold an 8.5×11” document. Since I don’t really have a lot of my ideas of my own, I’m going to rip off this one:
Greg Mitchell frame
Well it’s not exactly a rip off because I don’t have any curly maple or mahogany, but I’ll use my silver maple and walnut. I’ll have to remember to thank Greg for the pictures and the idea.
So anyway it should be pretty simple, I have a miter sled and a spline jig already made up. Simple is good because my shop time is very limited right now due to having a 7 month old daughter. We’re working on correcting her sleeping habits, i.e. letting her cry her brains out at night until she goes to sleep. Today she slept until 11:00 am!
That’s all for now, figured I’d start my blog while the glue is drying. Hmm may have to hook up an old laptop out in the shop one of these days so that I don’t have to come back in anymore! This site is pretty cool, I dig it so far. I have been on WoodNet for a couple of years, I really like the look and the multimedia aspect of this site though. It’ll be fun to look back in a few years on my projects.

Laptop in the garage is a great thing. That’s where I keep mine. Problem is I don’t have much reason to go in to the rest of the house now… Looking forward to seeing the finished frames.
