Part 1: At the begining

I have Festool TS55 circular saw, because my shop is too small to place a tablesaw which will occpy almost all the space of my shop. But these days, when I tried to make a small project, I found it very difficult to cut small pieces with Festool. So I decided to buy a table saw. Since there is no good table saw in Japan, I must buy one from the U.S.But it is very hard for me to find a shop which can ship heavy items to Japan. I am lost from the begininng.

Before a lot of people advised me not to buy a new tablesaw for my small shop.So I changed my mind to do with my festool TS55 instead of a tablesaw. But for small work pieces Festool is not so accurate that I can not make the same pieces for my projects. Then I decided to buy a Festool multi function table or a kit of that. But in Japan we can not buy Festools because of poor dealer network, and even if I could find some, it would cost more than twice of those in America. For example TS55 co...

Part 3: Wire Transfer

I found a retailer which can send us Festool items. I thought I could get Festools again finally. But that shop will never receive my PayPal account because of type of my PayPal account . Though they require confirmed address, we Japanese can’t have it through PayPal. Dead-end again. But I couldn’t give up, so I approached again and that shop allowed me to trade through bank wire transfer. ——that was fantastic! But again I researched about international bank wi...

Thanks to much advice from kind people in LumberJacks but I must give up useing Festool in Japan. 1 There is a Festool dealer in Japan. But they are not serious to sell what they have. They don’t have either net shop nor a actual shop as rfar as I know. 2 In Japan Festool is very expensive. It cost more than twice as much as purchasing in USA. 3 US dealer is prohibited to sell outside of US and if by any chance I could find some dealer that can ship something to Japan confid...

After long thinking I decided to buy a new table saw instead of looking for how to buy festool options from Japan. And I abandon Festool that is very hard to maintain for Jananese resident. Last month I found a dealer which can send tablesaw to Japan. That was Woodcraft though they rejected my first offer. I didn’t know why they refused once, anyway I could got Jet JWTS-10 contractor’s saw . That have very smart propotion, its morter is inside of the body ! You know my shop...

Part 6: Cutting Unifence and Wixey Digital Read Out

200 days ago by nakamaruchi | 1 comment »

In accordance with Gary’s advice I asked Wixey if we could cut sensor strip of Wixey 700. They said that sensor strip was able to be cut at any place even after fixing up. I cut them with Festool and Metal Cutting blade made in Japan. It was very easy to finish cutting them. But another trouble has occured—every time I write this blog I repeat this phrase. For UNIFENCE we must use the universal magnet bracket because the standard magnet bracket does not fit Unifence body, so...
