I must say that I am surprised and humbled, seriously. I want to thank all of those people that voted for my two projects, and participating in the competition. Eventhough some of us won prizes, all of us are winners for such a well run contest with such great projects.
Thanks Martin for putting this whole concept together,
Mark

Congratulations to all the winners. It was amazing at the quality and creativity of all the works involved. It was difficult to choose one particular entry over another.
Looks like I have to step up my game if I want to compete next year.

Congratulations to all! There was plenty of fantastic work to pick from. I was sure we’d have a 47 way tie for first place!
So Martin… about the top ten…. (I think I want to know how I placed creativity-wise. I know my box left a lot to be desired as far as craftsmanship goes… (I’ve come a long way in the few years since I made it)... but I need to know how much to step up the game to have a fighting chance. (now that all these projects are disqualified from future contests, I just might.)...
If you look in the ring for the next contest, you’ll see Debbie’s hat (stylish one that it is), mine’s underneath it (a dingy denim ballcap I got at the Hard Rock Cafe in Paris, Easter Sunday 1998)

I just saw that the craftsmanship was 59 points for Mark and 58 points for Marc … I’m suprised there hasn’t been a call for a recount.

First off I want to thank Martin for making this great contest even possible. I also want to thank everyone for the quality of projects that were submitted. Everyone that took part in this contest has set the bar just a little higher and for that many thanks. A special thank you for all of those that voted for my, The Shroud, linen and cross.

well deserved Rog… people just don’t believe at first (second or third) glance that The Shroud is all wood. Amazing.

Winter 2007 has brought out the best from the L.J.’s, congratulations to all winners, you’ve raised the bar and will have to do better for the subsequent competitions.
The success of this competition can be attributed to Martin whose ambition for the Forum inspires us ordinary people to aspire to do better! Well done Martin!
