Thanks for sharing. I loved the video tour. Are you going to post your auxillary bench in the projects section? Also, is it your own design or are plans available somewhere?

I just checked out your shop video. Very interesting. Sorry to hear customs messed up your dovetail jig. Will they pay to replace it? Thanks for sharing.

My compliments on the shop. I can tell a lot of thought went into the design.
I like to see the blade guard on the table-saw. One of these days I am going to get one too.

Dust collection is always a challenge, but it looks like you have that handled.
I noticed a hose (4”) for dust behind the mitre saw, Does that work OK?

That could be scary!

I’ll tell ya what, the Spidy Costume breaths pretty good, but it rides up a bit and itches after a few hours. :)

Kind of like my HazMat suit. It’s the same as the rubber suits that make you loose fat in the summer. Or at least make you sweat.

Wait a minute I need to loose fat.

maybe it’s back on – Nah. Wait till winter.

Yes it is, Bryano. I keep all the big tools on rollers, though I only ever move the bandsaw. I also only move it when I’m ripping boards.

I enjoyed the update…

What is kind and size radiused scraper do you have there in you turning tool set?

Also, what kind of chuck are you using? And the jaws on the chair there…OW jumbo jaws? Or?

Heya Dorje,

I use a 1” radius heavy duty scraper from Crown. I also use a 1/2” round nose scraper from Sorby and a 3/4 square nosed scraper from Henry Taylor. I use Nova Super Nova2 and Titan chucks. The chuck on the chair is a Nova Titan with cole jaws. They are a compressive or expansile jaw that uses rubber knobs to grip the outside or inside of a vessel to allow for cleaning up of the bottom.

Cheers!

Hello, I am a new member from Sherwood Park. (WoodChucker) I’m just starting up my shop and I have been looking for a good hardwood supplier in the Edmonton area and have been unable to find one. (besides Windsor Plywood). I’m hoping to find good 1/4 and rift sawn hardwoods from 4/4 and up.

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Great workshop video…. That really adds to overall impression of someones workshop. Great idea and job….....
And I see you are an old RCer too. I still have some junk in my shop as well.
I was/am ( but not active any longer) a member of MAAC for the past 30 years (22269L) I was also the president of the Flying Tigers in Hamilton Ontario for a number of years. I flew mostly giant scale, some aerobatic stuff.

Anyway, nice shop and I have looked at some of your projects….. You are a craftsman… Nice to meet ya.
