Hey guys. I visited our local Lowe’s this morning to replace a broken drill bit. As you guys might know, I’ve been using Aspen from Lowe’s on my draw sides. I like this wood mostly because I can get Aspen veneered plywood for my draw bottoms, so that they all match in color. Some of these boards are just awesome, mostly with beeswing figuring, and an occasional streak of grey, and medium brown. I wish LJ’s had the capacity for more pics of projects, so I can show you just how nice this wood looks. Well this morning, I walked through that section of the store, and the 1st board I saw had some just beautiful curly brown figure in the grain. I couldn’t pass it up! I wish I’d had more funds, there were 2 other boards there with the usual beeswing grain that I love so much. But at least I got one awesome board! Tell me what you think!

Thats a really cool grain pattern. You should try to use that piece where people can see it and not a a drawer side. It would look good as an accent piece or border for something.

Great find. I can’t walk through any store without visiting the lumber section.

OH, that sure is purdy! It’s the same here, if there is wood around, I have to go look. Nice find!
