help! I just bought a beautiful cabinet for a powder bathroom that i am going to drop a sink into. It has a beautifully painted top. I planned on replacing the top with granite/marble but i was woundering if there is a finish that could be used instead so i could still see this beautiful top, but would be waterproofed bathroom appropriate. I was told that the paint probably had a resin added to it? dont know for sure, but its hard and thick and antiqued looking with a low shine. Anyone have a suggestion?

Glad to see that you have made Lumberjocks a part of your Woodworking experience… Welcome
You would get a better response to your question about the finish in one of the forums here on Lumberjocks. You might want to post it there.
