I've always been doing something with wood but in 1996 I had to retire from a job due to Multiple Sclerosis. After driving my wife and three kids nuts, I needed to get a hobby - and one that I could spend some time with. One thing let to another and now I've got a third of the basement and am looking for more. The MS makes me a slow woodworker, not enough good days, but I sure do enjoy it. A series of stupid decisions cost me 2/3 of a finger and I am no longer allowed to have a jointer. That has made me a hand plane nut. As they say "every cloud has a silver lining".

I share a couple things with you. We both live in the same county of PA, we both share the same hobby, and I to have MS. I like to think that I have MS but it doesn’t have me. Keep smiling and keep on planing.
