karatewood's Workshop

I am a professional woodworker, 100% self tought that started 39 years ago. My shop started with a jigsaw and 1 small block plane. After 38 years of the hard school of knocks I have our workshop where it needs to be to do what we love WOODWORK!!!!
I will give a list of equiptment in our cramped shop: 16 inch scmi jointer, 25 inch scmi 15 horsepower planer with carbide tipped knives, Weinig p23E moulder with variable speed, 1 small 3X3 moulder for small stuff festo SP4, 15 HP central dust collector, Weinig 931 wet type profile grinder with every accessory to grind almost anything, 10 foot SCMI sliding table saw that cuts 45 degrees as well with scoring, 37 inch 25 HP wide belt sander, powermatic 66 tablesaw, SAC tilting spindle sliding table 9 HP shaper with stock feeder, straight line rip saw. 10 HP air compressor with drier, 19 inch SCMI bandsaw, scissors lift, vaccum laminating system, 87 inch veneer guillotine 8000 pounds ruckle, spray booth with fan, air assisted airless spray system, countless routers and specialty power hand tools, tens of thousands of square feet of fine veneers some 1 of a kind, and measuring devices to keep us accurate most of the time. No cnc routers we make our molding templates with files by hand. No complicated equiptment just what we need to do what we love and make a living in the process. Our space is cramped as I have to open a door to sand panels plane or joint. It works for us but wish we had 2X the room then we would wish we had more room. We start designing with raw material and take it to completely finished and deliver as well as install. 100% in our shop without depending on others at all.
Lots of long hours but a bad day in our shop is better then a good day somewhere else. The work comes to us and seldom do we travel to get a job.When I get some spare time I will include some pics of our shop and equiptment. God bless
