My tools

This is a pic of my current tool set up, you cant see the router table i made out of an old 80s floor model tv!
I don’t have a shed so my work is done mostly in my room unless i have to use the table saw, I bring that outside.

Some of the tools I have are:

10inch delta shopmaster miter saw and matching stand
10inch delta shopmaster table saw
firestorm 18v drill and circular saw
large dewalt bit set
freud 13 amp 2 1/4 hp router
75th anniversary dremel set
makita belt sander
rotozip with jigsaw handle

I work at a big box home improvement store so I got all of this stuff at a great discount probably around 300 dollars for all that I listed and there are other things like wrenches, hammers, pliers, clamps and levels etc that I find discontinued. Its a nice deal if you don’t need super great tools like a contractors table saw!

I have a good idea to build a shed in my backyard but I’m concerned about the floor and the best cheapest way to get the wood off the ground or keep the wood from rotting. So if anyone has an idea for that or anything else be my guest to let me know!

Deck building publications sold at the box stores may give you some ideas. They provide ideas on construction and materials.

This is just one idea.

You look like you are off to a good beginning with your tools. I assume you use the comic books for project ideas : -))

Its coincidental that i love the green hornet and horror movies, but i do want to build a MAME arcade, its just a full size arcade machine that can play hundreds of old games. I’ve already bought the joystick console from x-arcade. Thats actually the reason i became interested in wood working.

I forgot i also made a rolling tool cabinet out of cheap plywood, When i get my hands on some more AA batteries i’ll upload everything i’ve made so far.

Ive used computers all my life and I’ve never had a problem with dust on the inside so much. Most of my computer cases are open and i have a small fan blowing inside of it to keep dust from settling in it, or once a year you can take the case open and use can duster on it. It depends on if you have kids running around or not, really. I don’t so it doesn’t matter if my pc is exposed or not.

of course, I have 4 computers running linux throughout my house :)

LOL…yeah, I do field work in IT, and I’ve seen it all: bugs, mice, etc. It’s funny, the most fouled up innards of any system was in a child psychology medical office. I was amazed that the system was still running after 5 years…

How does that make YOU feel? LOL.

My shop is just set on crushed stone. Works fine. Just level the stone and start building. I used pressure treated where the building touches the stone.
