First off, I’ll point out that I have nothing to compare this to. I have never used any other plow plane, and have little experience with any other kinds of joinery planes. This is easy and fun to use. No tools are needed to do anything on this. Blade removal and all adjustments are toolless. The only thing I can think of to complain about is access to some of the knobs. I’d say I have average sized hands and fairly dexterous fingers. But I had trouble getting at the knob...

I had been using sandpaper on a test plate to flatten my water stones. I found myself avoiding flattening the stones because of the time to set up and the mess. So I bought the Norton flattening stone. The price was right, $27 after a 10% off at Rockler. I almost didn’t check it. Great resaw blade

Just after Christmas I got two new band saw blades from Iturra Design (no web site) in Florida. The blade I’m reviewing here is a 105” 3/4” woodslicer 3/4 TPI. (That means it’s variable, 3 teeth in one inch, 4 the next) for $21.20. Along with Mark Duginske and his Band Saw Handbook, the guys at Iturra are band saw gurus.
