Something I’m very proud to announce today is my 36th wedding anniversary. Yes, I’ve been married to the same wonderful women for the past 36 years, and I love her as much today as the day we met in high school, when she asked me to dance after a basketball game in 1967. We’ve been sweethearts eversince. We were married after my 2 year stint in the army from 70-72, drafted of course. I have a 36 yo son and a 28 yo daughter that are more wonderful people than I ever thought of being. My son adopted his wifes daughter, and they had a son who’s 4, and one in the oven. My daughter isn’t married yet but has a wonderful young man she lives with and am sure will soon be my son in law, and I’ll proudly call him son. I know it’s unusual for people to stay together this long, I thank God she has stayed with me this long, I would’nt have. Well thanks for listening, I just needed to share this with a lot of my friends here. I lost a great friend recently here, we all did, thank God we have each other to fill the void. Your friend, mike

Mike, Congratulations. I find great inspiration and renewed faith when I hear of stories like yours. I would struggle with all things in life if it weren’t for the strength I receive from the friendship, support and my constant companion who I have made this lifelong commitment with. Thank you for your post.

Congratulations to the both of you, Mike. Given the struggles that married couples face today a marriage that lasts as long as yours has is certainly in the minority. I pray that you will have many more years together and be just as happy as you are today.
Thanks for sharing this with us. I really appreciate it.
