2 days left and I got a finish coat of stain on tonight, after my wife got home from work and helped me get a burl. The city dumps trees and compost and dirt about a quarter mile behind my house and my cousin is on the DPW. So I have free access to all the fallen trees in the city. The other day I was back there with the quad checking out my lumber and noticed a big old maple burl I could’nt pass up. So I started working on it with my chain saw. I never finished it through the holidays just too busy. I was afraid I would lose it or it would get burned up. So when my wife got home from work she went with me and after 2 hours of hard work we got it free. Then I went back to work on my table and finished staining the rest that I had started earlier. So tomorrow it gets a finish coat or two and my brother has agreed to take pics of it and I’ll finally get to post it. Its no winner but I’m proud as hell that I got it done in time. I really did’nt think I could. jockmike2

Great job Mike. We are waiting to see the results.
And a good catch on the Maple. I wonder what we will see come out of that.
