Our swap continues as the box has made its way from Trifern in Illinois to Huckleberry in Indiana.

Trifern added some really nice goodies to the box. Hopefully Huckleberry can enjoy the bounty of blanks… the plethora of pens… before he sends it along. :-)

I’ll be anxious to see what everyone else gives and takes.

Shannon:
Well looking at your location. You are about 3 hours north-west of me. My daughter lives in Reistertown, MD Maybe some day I’ll stop over for a cup of coffee and trade some sawdust.

OK here we go. Spent the weekend knee deep in some sawdust from my lathe. I cracked open the box on Thursday and spent several wonderful hours just digging through all the surprise within.

I took out a great Maple Burl Euro style pen. I got some nice comments on it while using it at work on Friday too. I also took out the following blanks: Dogwood, Maple Burl, Amboyna, Brazilian Rosewood, and Curly Maple.
Here is what I put back in:

I made a Wall Street pen in black and gold. This is the first of this style that I have made and I really like it. Very simple to make with just one barrel yet very elegant in finished product. I used a curly Walnut blank that I have had hanging around for some time. Then I added to that a Rhodium Patriot pen kit and Screw cap Classic kit. Finally I added a bunch of blanks. Curly Koa, Spalted Maple (I harvested this myself), and Quilted Maple.
Karson, this will get mailed on Monday and there is some great stuff coming your way! As a parting shot, here is a pic of another Wall Street pen I made with the Brazilian Rosewood that I took from the box.
