GO SMOLTZY!

Not woodworking related, in case you count the bats…

I’m a Braves fan and my boy John Smoltz locked up strikeout #3,000 tonight – one of only 16 to do so. Smoltz is a heckuva guy, does a lot for the community and has always stayed straight throughout his career. He hosts a bible study at the Braves clubhouse and mentors the rookies as well, tries to keep them grounded in the wake of fame and money.

Not many could be more deserving of hitting a milestone like this!

Woo hoo. I have been a Braves fan for many years. Smoltzy is a wonderful pitcher and a really nice guy.

I read about the possibility of it happening in the local Gwinnett paper today. Glad he did it. I agree Tim, he’s a pretty good guy and a good role model for this city.

Tim,

Thanks for the update on Smoltz. I have admired him for a long time. He is a person of faith who seems to have been able to weather what must be terrific storms of temptation in the high profile, fan-crazy world in which he finds himself.
