I work with my cousin making hardwood flooring and parts for cabinet makers in our area. Living in the heart of Amish country there is over 60 cabinet shops in this county alone. By nature I am a handy man. I can attempt to do carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Dumb laborer is my trade and stock. I enjoy the patients it takes to create a beautiful piece of woodwork. Everything I have learned about wood has been through the school of hard knocks. From every mistake I learn at least how NOT to do something. The only thing I do know for sure is GOOD tools do not cost that much in the long run, its the cheap tools that cost you much more.

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

You sure got that right Tom. The gallery is making me salivate. I hope you all take pitty on me. My dreams of woodworking are vast, but my talents tiny. All I can say is its a good think I heat my home with a wood stove. I think I heated the last month on mistakes. LOL
