My shop is the third stall in a three car garage. Thanks to craigslist and amazon.com it is filling up quickly with tools. My dream is to have a shop detached from the house to fill it even further with tools. The shops I see here are giving me a lot of inspiration.
The router station is a work in progress but should be finished shortly. After that I plan on improving my dust collection system by adding some PVC runs along the wall. Then I am obligated to make some patio furniture for the wife to justify all of these tools and time in the garage!

Porter Cable Plate Joiner
Porter Cable 18 ga brad nailer
Porter Cable crown stapler
Porter Cable pancake compressor

Ditto Gary’s comment. Visual tours are a nice aspect of this site.

The fridge is from 1939 (says “to the family, Christmas 1939) right on the door. Still works like a champ. And yes that is Norm’s router bench. Almost done, just a few little things to do and will post some pictures of the finished product.

Nice set up. I like the doors on all of the cabinets. My goal eventually to reduce the places dust can go. And welcome to LumberJocks.

Hi Horob,
This is a nice shop. You have a nice set of tools to play with as well. I like your extension for your table saw. I built a similar one but it doesn’t look as good as yours. By the way I see you have all the necessities in there as well- a refrigerator and a lounge chair. What more could you want?
Nice shop and thanks for the tour.

Horob,
Very nice shop. I second Scott B’s comment about the table saw extension… I would like to build something similar for my delta .. do you mind providing some more details about it? is it supported by only the two side bolts when pulled out?
Welcome to lumber jocks!

Thanks. I will post some more pics of the table saw extension when I find the time. I followed a design from a magazine – will dig through my pile of back issues and find which one. Thanks again!

Nice looking shop. There seems to be a lot of lounge furniture in this Working shop?

Tom – Shhh. Don’t tell my wife. It is my old college furniture she has been trying to get rid of for several years and settled on letting me keep them in the garage. I have to move the couch out of the way when I actually work. Someday I will have a big enough shop for the couch to have a spot of its own.

Horob,
You have a nice looking shop in which to work and some nice tools to play with as well. I really like the customization you have done with your tablesaw.
And it looks like you have all the comforts of home in there as well- a couch, lounge chair and a refrigerator.
Wonderful.
Thanks for the post.

If I had a fridge and lounge chairs in my shop, I would never make it out. I am in trouble now for the amount of time spent in the shop. You do need a TV though. Great looking shop with some good tools.
