I am a furniture maker and finish carpenter. I have lived in the northwest most of my life I am married to a wonderful woman, Cindy. My wife is a scool teacher. She teaches 3rd grade.
I have a beautiful daughter Annie who is almost 5, and loves daddy's shop. she has already built several projects of her own.
After a stint in the army, I tried my hand at different things and fell into woodworking in 1983, and have been addicted ever since.
Today I don't buy much lumber anymore. though I don't consider myself a green freak, I have discovered that there is an abundance of reclaimable urban wood all around us. I mean everything from blackwalnut, cherry, apple. pear, Oregon white oak, madrona, and the list goes on and on.I think that many of these woods can be found accross the country. witch gives woodworkers an almost free medium to express who we are.
Daniel.
