My shop is located in the garage of our home. When I first started my wife would only let me use one side of the garage. Things got a little cramped after a year or so. I kept adding equipment, and her car would be in the driveway on the weekend, until I added to much, and now it stays in the driveway all the time. She has been a good sport about it though. Almost all the projects that I’ve done so far has been furniture and remodels. I purchased a midi Grizzly lathe a month or so back, an am trying my hand at turning a few things. It has been a learning experience, but is sometime I find very enjoyable. I’m working now on saving my money from projects to buy me a cabinets saw next. I have use the Craftman that I have now for about five years. It was passed down to me by my father-in-law. It has been a good saw, and has been modified many times since I got it. There is not a lot of room for larger project in my shop, but in a couple of years from now we plan on building a house. At that time I plan on building a larger shop before the house goes up, and do a lot of the work myself.

In the 40 years that my wife and I have been married she has yet been able to park her car in a garage.
Even with my new workshop, her car still sits in the driveway. This winter she said maybe I can put it inside. But she never made it.
Great looking shop.

That is also one of my dreams and things to do.

Great shop, Greg. What can you tell me about the Rigid jointer? I’ve stopped and looked at it countless times at the Home Depot. Is it as good a deal as it appears to be?

Very nice, well equipped shop, Greg. I like how you have set it up and organized it. I especially like that cabinet full of hand tools! And I am so jealous of your thickness sander if you ever need more room for the car you can send it to me.

Hi Greg,
This is a nice shop. It looks like you have plenty of space and tools to get the job done. I like the story behind it as well. I can tell you without a doubt if I had to ask my wife to put HER truck out in the weather so that I could have more space I would be out in the weather before the truck would.
Thanks for the post.

Nice shop, Greg! Very functional and organized. Maybe someday mine will be half as clean….......Glad to see I’m not the only one from this area on LJ’s.

Hi Greg
Great looking shop! I see you have a G0555 Grizzly band saw. I am thinking about getting one for the new shop. How do you like yours? Any info would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.
God Bless
