Location: West Suburbs of Chicago
Website:

I started woodworking 12 years ago by taking an adult education course at a local junior college. My woodworking has now reached the stage of a "hobby out of control" -LOL.
My shop started with a 40 year old Craftsman table saw (inheirited from an uncle) and a Porter Cable router. I now have about 300 square feet in my basement shop, and no more room for stationery tools!
In addition to teaching myself, have also taken courses at the Marc Adams School of Woodworking (Frankllin, IN) and the Chicago Bauhaus Institute.
My projects generally run to free standing furniture pieces and built in cabinetry, mostly my own designs with occasional projects from Fine Woodworking and Woodsmith thrown into the mix.
My newest challenge wil be to tackle making small boxes.
Skills I still need to learn include turning (don't yet have a lathe) and marquetry (to add some "wow" to my furniture projects).

Looking forward to meeting new woodworking buddies on this site.

The picture on my icon is of Sophie, my purebred Bassett Hound-she's a sweetheart!

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
