A Fresh Update on the Old Health

Hi! Everyone,
My good friend Richard out in Nevada, just reminded me in another blog, to get an update on my health out to everyone. As of today, I feel like I am 40 again and stuck with a pair of 80 year old legs. I am 63 years old. Go figure! I am really doing great, now if they can just get my legs in just a little better shape. I will be in great shape. Even thinking of getting a couple of horses for the wife and I, to go along with the home we are going to buy. I continually thank God for your prayers for me and his continued help. May each and every one of you and your family’s be blessed in return for the blessing that has been placed on my life. I thank God each day for your prayers. If I were to feel much better, I’d have to be tied down. I can out walk my wife at the mall now. I haven’t been able to do that in 15 years. God Bless You Each!

Still having Computer problems

I just timed the time it took for our home page to load on my computer. 3 min. and 10 sec. and I have a cable modem. If I were using dial-up the page would never have loaded. If the new membership has dropped in the last couple of weeks? I think that this could be the problem.

My Computer ??

Hi! Everyone,
Has anyone else been having trouble getting pages here on LJ’s to load? Some of the time my computer acts like it is on dial up instead of cable. I don’t seem to be having any problems with any other sites. Do I need to contact my server or what???? It seems to be the opening page only. If someone is using dail-up, they probably time out before they can get on the site. I almost hope that it is my computer.
Thanks and God bless

Need Help on Editing software for Video

Hi! Everyone,
I am trying to convert a video that I have shot on my video camera for uploading to the site. My question is, What is the best program to purchase in order to get my video to load as a complete video instead of breaking it down into short segments? I know that the videos I see everyone uploading here are not segmented. Thanks for any help you can give. The next post that I make will probably interest most of the members. Thanks again!
God bless

A new update on the old health and selling the shop

Hi! everyone,
I just wanted to give you an update, on how the prayers and the medicines are working. The surgeon that put me on the medication to expand the arteries and blood vessels in my legs wanted me to start walking as far as possible once a week. To get an idea as to how the medication is working.
The first day that I started on the medication, I could make it one and two thirds trips at a fast pace, the length of my driveway before my legs just hurt so bad, I could hardly walk. One week later, I made it four trips, I could have done more but the wife said that we had to leave to go somewhere. I feel better at this time than I have in about 15 years. The feeling is fantastic. Please continue to hold me in your prayers as I will be doing the same for you.
As for the shop. I started packing it up in a pod for the up coming move. The new house is almost completed.
They are going to build me a 24’X 28’ shop. Just waiting on the surveyors to show up. Don’t want to build to close to the property line. When they get ready to start, I will take some photos and share them with all of you, here at LumberJocks.
I told my wife that I was going to make this shop functual and not spend a lot of time setting up a layout such as the one I have now. I would be dead before it could be completed. (LOL)
God bless all of you that have been praying for me and all who have shown their concern.

I forgot to mention another little tidbit regarding my health

I gave up alcohol completely about 18 years ago. I worked all over our fine country and after work, I was alone and the only thing I had to do was in a can and the television. Quiting, it was very hard to do, since, the very first day that I tried to quit, I found something out, that I really was a functioning alcoholic. and now I am a sober alcoholic, that does not drink and I do not even eat anything made with alcohol as an ingredient.

Now, here is what I give thanks to God and my friends here at LumberJocks for doing for me. I have tried to quite smoking on several occasions in the past, but never was able to. It was the only vice that I still carried around with me. Feeling guilty about it. I truly was addicted. Now, after being a 2 to 2 1/2 pack a day smoker for about 49 years. This past Tuesday night, I put them down for good and asked for help when I went to bed that night. The next morning, I received the help that I needed. That’s 4 days ago and I do not even crave one . I do pat my pocket once in a while, (LOL) just from pure habit. I am a none smoker now and with everything going on in my life the way it is at the present, will never pick one up again!! “Folks”, keep those cards and letters heading skyward. I have each of you in my prayers. God Bless you each, and your families.

P.S. one more item. My wife smokes and it is not bothering me one little bit. I will be talking to her soon about laying them down, also. (LOL)

I when to my Vascular surgeon today. He said that there were three options that he told me about, and which one did I wish to pursue? I will tell you the one that I chose, My answer to him was, which ever is the best to give me a chance to go back to work. I have not been able to work in over seven years. It is the first one that he gave me. we are going to try a medication for eight weeks. If that doesn’t work? well, the remaining options do not look that great. So I will not go into them at this time. I feel that they will not be needed. I have that much faith.
He did say, that he was going to try everything that he could, to keep me from losing my legs.
Again, please do not feel sorry for me! My problems are few and god and the prayers that you are saying for me, have everything working out for me at this time. Please continue to hold me in your thoughts. I feel like a new man, Just in an old body. (LOL). I am sure that things will continue to go well with you continued help. May God bless each and everyone of you, my friends.
A futher update when things change.

Update on the Ole Health

For those of you who have been thinking and saying a few words for me. Keep up the great work. It’s working!!
I haven’t had to take more than a couple of pain pills over the last couple of days. That in it self is more than anyone could have anticipated. Things happen that can’t be explained except for faith. Wishes really do come true. As of today, I feel better than I have in 7 years. Now when I go to the vascular surgeon on Thursday, if he can get the aching out of my legs? I will feel like a new man. Many, Many Thanks to those who are helping me. ( One in particular!) I will keep each of you in mind and heart. Another update towards the end of the week.

"Removed by Gene" Gas prices?" What this has to do with woodworker's"

My apologies to all. I have personally removed my post. It was about woodworkers and gas. Not meant to be political. It was meant to help our country and the world. As many of you know, I have been away from the site for about 6 weeks because of health.
I guess I should have read up on the new rules. Just in the last week or so, I have begun coming back online to the site. My next move will be the Oreilly Factor. I’d say that I will get a response there.
This may break the rules also but after this, I will refrain myself. Please, in the future, if you see a post with my name on it, please remember this one fact. ( I am a Christian by faith and if this offends anyone, I am sorry for that and if it does, please do not read any of my post.)
This will be the last time that I will say this on my post. God bless
I do apologize and, please, everyone need not try to take up for me. In this cast, I already have someone by my side!

Reguarding, Selling the shop

This is to all who have read and especially those of you that responded to the previous blog I wrote showing your concerns for my health. But, most of all, it is for those who have been praying for me. May God bless you and your family’s as much as he has blessed me, throughout my life and least of all, Because of you, my friends?! (Now!)
I am a diabetic and have been disabled for seven years with severe nerve damage to my feet and legs. About six months ago, my sugar went out of control, running an average of 400 daily.
(Not Good) I had to start insulin shots about two months ago in order to get it under control. At this time, it is doing well.
About two weeks ago, I had some tests ran at the hospital, to check the circulation in my feet and legs. Well, the test revealed that I probably have a blockage. Now it’s off to see my vascular surgeon on the 23rd. I’ll let you know where I stand when I find out.
Quick and to the point here. For the past four years, I usually feel good for a total of two months out of an entire year, and that comes in spurts of about one week here and there. But, thanks to your prayers and friendship, I have felt better over the past three days than at any other time in those four years. Please continue to pray for me as I will for your help. Yesterday evening, I had to stop and think whether or not I had taken a pain pill that day. I normally have to take one every four hours.

p.s.
I Hope to do some project posting soon. I have a project that you will have to see to appreciate.

The up coming post, when I post it will be of a small house that I have been helping remodel with a friend. This has house turned out very nicely. So much so, that it is the home I plan on buying. Normally I would manage to work about two or three hours before giving out and having to go home and rest. For the past three days, I have made it for seven hours. Prayer does work. Again, many, many thanks.
As of today, I intend on keeping my shop. I may down size a bit though. This was made possible with your help, my thanks to you.

God bless
