May have to sell shop contents

Blog entry by gene posted 58 days ago 506 reads 0 times favorited 24 comments Add to Favorites

Hi! folks, Happy Mothers day to all the ladies!
Because of my health, I may have to sell everything in the shop. I am just trying to get a feel as to whether anyone here at lumberjocks may be interested before I go to the trouble to list everything? I will not break up the tools and equipment and it will include the metal casework cabinets. It will include the complete shop. If I sell ? I will make worth the trip and truck rental or you could have a moving company to move it. If I get a good response? I will get a complete list and photos together and run it in the forums. You can go to my shop photos and take the tour to get a basic idea of what will be sold.
God bless
Hey! Gang
I appreciate all of the well wishes. You don’t know how much they mean to me. I do not plan on leaving the site. I consider that I have a lot of freinds here. I live in a two story house and I am going to be forced to sell and go to a one floor plan. I’ll get back to posting when I get to feeling a little better. Especially with your prayers and help. May God bless you each!
God bless

This is a tough one for me Gene. I’ve noticed that you’ve not been posting much. Really tough…... you were the first LJ to make me feel at home here when I first joined. Good luck. Even if you do sell your shop, you can still hang out with us can’t you?

Gene, I think we need to just pray for your good health before you have to make this drastic step. You know what you need to do and I know God has a plan for you and yours.

Same here as juniorjock, you were the first one to really make me feel welcome and feel like part of the community. I’ve noticed that you’ve not been posting lately also, I will pray for your good health though.

Gene, I’m so sorry to hear that you are having health issues. Like juniorjock, you were one of the first to welcome me to the site and to become my buddy. I’m keeping you in my prayers for improved health. And keep hanging out with us. We can all benefit from your wisdom. Take care my friend!

You might sell your shop, but you’re stuck with the REAL tools, mon ami. The one’s in your head and I think I can speak for all of us LJs when I say, stick around, Gene, we’re not done with you yet!

always,

Gene, I am so sorry to hear this. But your health should be your primary concern. I have always appreciated and respected your comments and opinions. I wish you and your family nothing but the best.

May God bless you and your family.

Gene, This is so tough. I’m just so sorry to hear about your health. If you sell most of your tools, keep a few favorites for good old time’s sake. I’m wishing you the best health in the future!

The good thing here is tools can be replaced. You never know what the future holds when good old faith is applied. We work with solid wood. God works with solid Faith. (Called substance.)

Gene, Sorry to hear about your health and my thoughts are with you. Sorry also about your shop. Sure there will be a lil’bit of space in a single story story place for a wood working niche. :)

Hope we will hear from you soon.

Gene: My prayers are for you and Gregory. Save some of your hand tools so you can make shavings in your new home. Just have to re-adjust some of your skills.

Charles Neil in New Market VA. is having a picnic at his shop just off Int 81. You might send him a message maybe he can post it at the picnic. It will probably be local people from that area of Virginia. and a few traveling types.

Gene, As others have said, you were the first to welcome me to this site and continued to have kind words to offer about my projects.

Maybe that one story house could have an attached workshop (garage) so you can continue to enjoy making saw dust.

We will be praying for you and I wish you the very best, my friend.

Lew
