Hey Anybody out there gone to a 2008 Woodworking show this year yet ?? I see it will be in Houston, Sacramento, and Seattle this month …I was just wondering if any one found any new greatest and latest tool or any good tool deals at the show …...I will go to the show when it gets to Seattle …I hope to get a discounted Forrest Blade this year ….I would also like to pick up a Grex nail pinner. ...”You know the one with the most tools in the end ..wins” ....Happy Woodworking all you sawdusters …

I went to the woodworking show in Charlotte NC. I enjoyed it. Saw Stop was there. Lots of classes. Wood Magazine doing a project. Lots of stuff was going on. I could have stayed for days, I enjoy the classes. Learned to turn an ink pen. Then bought what I needed to do this at home. Wish I had more money. I will go again.

I went to the show in Timonium, MD. I also learned to turn a pen. Like Steelmum said, lots of classes, some pretty good deals, some interesting new products. A few upgrades to last years products. It’s definitely worth a visit. I will say that this is the first year that I have gone where I didn’t buy anything. Not that I didn’t want anything, but that anything I wanted I would have had to ask the wife first. She only lets me spend up to $100 without asking.

I went to the show in Timonium, MD, and I went to the Show in Chantilly, VA by Dullas Airport.
Greg3G bought a jointer and table saw at the Chantilly show. His blog is posted on this site.
They are not as good as they used to be but are still enjoyable.

My son and I went to the one in Collinsville, Illinois in February and had a great time. They had a good deal on Kreg bandsaw fences so I got one of them. 2 nice items in retrospect that I should have bought, a nifty spring loaded little driver to drive brads, set nails, and several other chores, also there was a demonstration of a sharpener that I probably would have purchased if were not for the dense crowd around it watching demonstrations. The Delta mini-seminars were really good and I had to force myself to leave the Lee-Neilson exhibit without buying anything…..not in my budget this year.
