Still Surrounded by Wood….

....even after some multiple snows. And so life is good, living and working out in the elements of all seasons, while giving back to the wild of the land, some thoughts on imaging that have of recent days come my way.

I had stated in my last blog story that the time of green picture images had come to an end, as I was being shifted now to a time of posting over the coming months, pictures of white granular icy snow. Snow falls following the downward pull of gravity, swirling around us here, much as some many fine dancers in a ballet, who are in tune to the music of the season.

....my snow is a place of much snow,
and so i let a blessing of praise just flow,
since it is this sound of white flaking blow,
that comes my way creating such arts of show
….

There….done did it, got that one out as my fingers just released an-other play with rhyme. My daily medicine of the mornings, is this medicine I get from letting my fingers go and just writing words. Writing words is medicine for my soul, that creates wordy vision flower’s of growing art-fully, in delectation’s of fruit-full gardens. Well lets get back to wood here, before I go off into the pastures of describing tones and notes of words.

I took these last Friday after cleaning up the outside some….so I could walk around the place. I’ve not had much time for photo imaging as of late, since work and snow clean-up have been filling up my space with over-time. Friday was the first day in a week or so, when we actually got some sun up here and so I made my-self slow down for a while and click some images…..

....so I’ll start here with a view of our house, looking from the south side. Yankee saltbox style, complete with dripping icicles….

....and yes, that white stuff just keeps hanging on….

....one may notice the numbers on the side of the house….1778, was when this one was first moved into after being built. These photos where taken right before I went to work on shoveling and raking the roofs to loose some of that snow weight. The temperatures can really shift high to low around here and last night the rains and 50 degree temperatures came, which would have added more weight to the roofs, as the snow sponged that water in and then turned to ice….

....keeping the barn open means more plowing through here….

....and then one stops and gives thanks for this view….

....looking to the east here….there arises the beauty of snow clinging to the trees….

....and here sits a vacant castle, dreaming in peace-full sleep of all the activity and sounds of what remains to come this spring….

....and last, but not least….I lift my hands in praise and thanks for all that ‘just is’....as off to work I go!

Thank you.

Frank
