Colors of a Walkabout
....okay,
lets take some time out today,
and get away,
into the forest of green wooden inlay….
So today we are going to slip away from chainsaws and slabbin’ at wood, where in order to stay sharp, I’ve decided to go on a ‘walkabout’. Grab your hiking boots and we’ll pick up a stout walking stick along the way, leave your cares back at my doorstep, while we pass the time of day with the beauty of wood.
Greenest of greens overwhelms here, where it won’t be much longer before the colors of fall, start to implode and explode with the wealth of red and all it’s hues, so here we are and lets just step through this window and see what lies ahead….

....maple leaves and fallen trees, bless us as we pass on by….

....reaching for the sky, I touched the blues of finest hues, where the mighty clouds of joy sang before my eyes…

....oh well, back on level ground we continue to walk these woods, where time has stopped for the moment while in this woodland of carpet design, I hear the trees telling of our coming near….

....there you have it….I think I’ll let my wife lead the way for awhile, as I stop and take some photos….

....art ‘just is’....

....and so I play with some contrast in the wood….

....and wherever my eye does look, I give thanks for what I see….

....if one can learn to see and hear art, what follows next, will be sounds of touch and taste….

....moving on, we now start coming into an area of bog….

....green forests, turn to bogs of greenish browns, now we’ll see what your hiking boots are made of….

....ah yes, I thought I heard this one talking earlier, said he was king and that I was on his turf….

....one more close up of an ‘ancient one’....

....well here we are, blue sky, greens of green and brown dirt thats turned to mud….

....oh yes, I almost forgot….lets turn around and see whats really out there….

Thank you.
GODSPEED,
Frank

Frank,
I hope you didn’t forget your pocket handkerchief. Hobbits never leave home without one. Nice pics.

That ancient one looks like he’s about to speak. Reminds me of the tree people in the lord of the rings. You didn’t see any golems in your travels?
