My son would like me to make a bedroom set for him for christmas using barnwood. We have great barnwood, beams, hand-hewn logs, etc. on our farm. I don’t have much experience so I want it to be very rough and basic (per his request). He has a friend who’s dad made one. Basically it was a headboard, simple nightstand, etc. Any pictures, websites, plans to help me get starte

Welcome to lumberjocks. I recently joined and love all the content. I had an idea for the barn bed. You could use a hand hewn beam for each post. Use rails for the sides and siding for the headboard and footboard. I would make the posts four feet tall. The only potential problem is your going to have a very heavy bed.
