Hi David,

Let me welcome you to LJs. I hope that you will find this to be a rewarding and exciting part of your woodworking journey.

-- With God's help all things are possible- even woodworking. Woodworking is not just a hobby, it is an (expletive deleted) expensive hobby.

Thank you to everyone for the welcome. In the next couple of weeks or so I’d like to post a photo of a recent project and ask for a couple of suggestions. I’m a one-man, non-production shop selling on commission and through galleries so you might imagine there are finite sources available for pursuing a more aggressive business strategy. If any of you work in a similar manner perhaps you’d share some thoughts or suggestions regarding some of your successes and how you’ve navigated through the business end of this under-appreciated craft. Regardless of whether we’re self taught or have had the good fortune of attending one of the great schools, we’re the the ones keeping this craft breathing. Thanks again and…
Regards,
David

Hi David,

Welcome to Lumberjocks. I just sent you a personal note, but I want to thank you, in front of my friends, for the permission to use your project in fund raising at my school. We all want to share the gifts that God has given us to lift up those that have little.

Have fun. I hope to get out to see you this summer.

Jim
