recently my oldest Son come across a 5/8 drive snap on ratchet. He has called Snap on and they said that it was a pre-1960 tool and yhey have no catalog on it. does anyone know where he can find out the value and he wants to know where to find out anything about this set. If anyone can help please drop me a line. Thank You Jim Earl

Just a side note to your quest….. My son is an auto mechanic, just like my Dad was. When he got started as an apprentice, my Dad gave him a bunch of tools… most of which were snap-on and all dating back to pre-sixty. After a bit of time one of the ratchets went on the blink. My boy handed it to the snap-on rep that comes to his shop. That rep said just take a new one….. and my boy said not a chance…fix it, guaranteed for life right. !! Well, to make a story short as they say, The rep did find some parts after a month or two, and they replaced them. Now the tool is as good as new, but that rep still looks in his tool box and has told him that if he ever wants to sell to let him know…........ obviously the rep knows the value of these older tools.
My son will never let them go as they are a reminder to him of his grandfather now deceased.
