I think paypal allows you to use a bank account number to set it up. However, it takes a bit longer to process transactions because like a check they want to allow time for the institution to pay it. To verify the account you will have to keep an eye on deposits to your account then report back to paypal the amounts the put in. It is pretty simple. Hope this helps.

I think there are more protections for the buyer using a bank acct number in paypal versus a cc, and as far as paying both happen fairly quickly – as best I can tell.

Yeah, paypal lets you use a bank account for verification.

I wish to thank all of you for all your comments, at this time due to a bad exsperience with our last two banks, we have not started any account with any banks now for over a year. This has made it a little difficult for us to be able to due alot of things, but hopefully, we can find a bank within our area that will not screw us over as the last two has done. Please excuse my language but this topic is very senative to both my wife and I. Again thank you for your comments. Your LJ friend Jim

Why dont you try one of the on-line banking institutations Jim. Not one of those “Joe’s Banking” offshore type of places . . . but something reputable. Here in canada we have several including Presidents Choice Financial. Not sure what you guys have in the US of A.

Oh . . . I have no affiliation with Presidents Choice. . . I just know it exists as a buddy has a few accounts and a mortgage with them
