A Houstonian by choice, I am inordinately proud to live here. I am constantly in motion and can usually be found writing about local businesses and entertainment, building websites, or taking pictures.
I am passionate about technology and people, and am thrilled at the emergence of Web 2.0, which combines the best of both worlds. I am addicted to sites like TechCrunch and TechDirt, and try not to miss a single beta launch.
I love exploring, and often do it vicariously through my National Geographic subscription. I love good food, would rather be in jeans, and suspect that I may be addicted to iced tea.
I am a visual communicator (photography, writing, design & layout) with a dollop of marketing thrown in for good measure.
I am an unapologetic dog-lover and have five - five! - dogs at home, four of them rescues from kill shelters. (I also have two cats that are rescues as well.) After an especially bad day, there's nothing better for making you feel glad to be alive then to hang out with five little (okay, a couple of them are pretty big) beings who think you're the best thing since sliced bread - pure, unconditional, unadulterated love!
When I occasionally find the time to read, I like a good thriller, especially if it has a religious/mystic bent. (And yes, I liked the DaVinci code, but was reading this genre *way* before Dan Brown even thought about publishing his book.)
To find out more about me, you could Google me, or take the easy way out and visit my ClaimID page, which probably contains everything you’d find anyhow.

Max,
Thanks for the welcome! I’m just signing up now but I’ll be back tonight so that I can peruse at leisure. (My work expects me to work – can you believe it?! lol
I’m looking forward to learning more about woodworking here and getting started on my first project. I haven’t decided if that will be a spice cabinet or a customized cabinet in my bathroom to hold my hair dryer and curling iron yet. Or it may be something completely different – who knows? My husband has lots of ideas he wants built, too. lol
Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I’ll be seeing you around, I’m sure!
Warm regards,
Danielle
