I work out of a large-ish one car garage (14×18) that is a dedicated workshop. I’ll add some pics in a bit.
Here is my basic tool list, in pretty much the order I bought them
Table Saw: Some no name used 12” contractor saw, big cast iron table though with a 50” Vega Fence
Scroll Saw: Delta (used all of two times)
Router: Ryobi Plunge Router
Planer: 13” Ryobi
Jointer: 6” Delta JT360 (cheapo)
Miter Saw: Makita LS1013
Band Saw: Grizzly G0555 14”
JigSaw: Bosch 1590EVSK (replaced a $20 piece of rubbish)
Circular Saw: Hitachi C7BD2 (replaced a cheapo skil saw)
Vacuum Press: Home built
Harbor Freight Dust Collector
I cut all my sheet goods with a circular saw on a sliding base connected to one of my two tru-grip guides, all my crosscuts on the miter saw, and all my rips on the table saw. I have a fancy Incra Miter Guage but it just gathers dust because I prefer using my miter saw for angled cuts.
The one thing I don’t have and really should is an actual workbench…

As you can see from the pics it can be a bit hard to move around. This is post project, it started off all neat and tidy and then spiraled into this. My wife can hardly bare to look :) Before the next project I’ll tidy it all up again, till then it’s a testament to my productivity.
In the background of that first pic you can see the left over teak/holy ply from Fins boat bed, and pic five shows my homemade vacuum pump system (that connects to a big bag)

wow…in three years you have acquired some nice tools…I also have a one car garage—-but not a dedicated space…so I have to pull a bunch of stuff in and out each time I start…well I noticed we are “neighbors” so thought I would say hi…

Thanks, at this point I get by and no longer find myself saying this would be so much easier if I just had an x. Biggest problem is keeping it orderly, I’m awful at it, and I really need a workbench. How do you like your ShopSmith?

Yes Damian, you have the jointer planer cast iron table saw and a big bandsaw. I think I will use the CTS with your shop! :-)

Hi Damian,
Thanks for the shop pictures. It looks like you have a nice set of tools to work with and your lumber rack looks a lot like mine does at times. I really enjoy seeing a shop with some sawdust on the floor. The spic and span posts look like a shop that isn’t being use. I could work in your shop.
