What is there to say? I am not too good at woodworking, but I do have a willing heart and a eagerness to learn anything. I welcome all comments, both big and small.
I just got married in January of 2008. So far she is being supportive of my wood working coming and goings. We are also fixing to take our very first pen turning class on Thursday night at Woodcraft. I am pretty jazzed. Hopefully, she gets hooked so I can buy "her" a lathe. HAHAHA.
Other than that, I will add more when I get a chance.

I have just been woodworking for a little less than a year. I am trying to make all sorts of stuff. The best part about woodworking at my house is my wife doesn’t want to park in the garage so that leaves me with a somewhat spacious 2 car garage to claim as my shop or my “Fotress of Solitude” as my friend and I call it. I am really enjoying this website also.

Hi Codaman33,
Let me welcome you to LJs. I hope you will find this to be an exciting and rewarding part of your woodworking journey.
I have to warn you that pen turning is addictive. So proceed with caution. :) My guess is that after the class you WILL have to buy her a lathe.
Good luck with the class.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. A ‘wife that doesn’t want to park in the garage’. You had better hold on to her, a woman like that is hard to come by. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Have fun and work safe in the shop. Use push sticks.
