I'm a retired naval officer pursuing my other loves in life - chasing my wife around the house and fine woodworking - in that order! I had the privilege of serving at the command level in the greatest navy that has ever sailed the Earth for a quarter century. I'm proud to say that I wagged the finger at Qaddafi in the Gulf of Sidra (1984-5), nailed drug runners in the gulf coast, sailed proudly with our NATO forces against our former enemy, the Soviets, did my part in Somalia, Iraq and Korea and, most recently trained newly commissioned naval officers at the University of Rochester, NROTC. Now that I'm retired from my naval career, I'm giving the woodcraft career a go. I'll decide if this is how I want to spend the next decade+ by year's end. It's a great hobby and can be a good business but, I don't want to spend my twilight years in poverty either! I am looking for woodcraft manufacturers who can reproduce my wood wheel clock designs with detailed consistency. With an MBA, I am more useful as a business driver and designer than sawdust maker, although, I enjoy the opportunities to create one-off projects in my makeshift basement work shop. I'm enthusiastic about this forum and look forward to sharing with its members. Having viewed the many projects posted I can say with certain humbleness, I have a lot to learn! There is real talent at this blog site. Max

Your clocks are very interesting to me. I’ve seen clocks like this in one magazine before and I was amazed. Great work! I hope that some day I can create a clock similar to yours. Thanks for the inspiration!

Hi Skipper, OUTSTANDING work. You outdid yourself once again Captain. Once you learn that Inventor program you will never go back again to the T square, pencils and tri-ruler again. Have a great one buddy. Bye

Sir, well done. May I say WOW!, Sir. The clocks are eye candy. What beautiful working sculptures. I hope your plans work out. They would be popular. Glad you found this site and shared. Glad I found this site to see your work. I was a hydraulic jet mechanic, flight deck trouble shooter, aboard the USS Roosevelt, CVA 42. Two cruises in the med.. Just thought I’d share.
