Been overseas for the last 5 years. I started building my shop up in May 2007. I had small power tools and used the woodshop on the military base.
So In May I bought a new Jet 16 inch band saw with at 10 inch cutting height capacity because I want to be able to resaw lumber that would usually be thrown out like small logs and dunnage.
I got a used Jet 10 inch contractor’s saw with an Xacta fence upgrade. I mounted the original Jet table saw fence onto my band saw.
I got a 6 inch Fox Shop benchtop jointer and a used 12 inch Delta Planer. I plan to make a better table for it.
I also got a used combination Lobo 9 inch disc sander with 6 inch wide belt sander and a used Craftsman 17 inch 16 speed floor model drill press.

It is good to see that you have a large band saw as a priority. I think it might be one of the most important tools in the shop. I would like to get a larger band saw for greater resaw capacity. How old is that green Jet table saw?

woodspar, Gosh the guy I got it from said it was 10 years old. I have seen a new one (exact same color and model as mine) for sale though, so I’m not sure if Jet has discontinued producing them in green. I live only about an hour from the Jet manufacturing plant in Auburn, WA and about an hour and a half from Grizzly in Bellingham, WA.

Cool shop gear. I love my Jet bandsaw… one of my most valued power tools. If I ever find time to clean up the shop just a bit, maybe I’ll create a little photo tour.
